Thanksgiving 2015

This year we had a really quiet Thanksgiving.. Just us! I'm not going to lie.. We actually really enjoyed it that way! It was relaxing, stress free! We started off our morning with a nice breakfast and a walk to the park to let the boys play for a bit, and we watched the Thanksgiving Day Parade. Later I cooked with boys napping and Christmas music playing through the house.. It was perfect. We don't love turkey so this year we took the ham route.. Which is so much easier! We made a few sides.. And didn't even worry about dessert (who needs the extra calories anyways?). We cleaned up and went and shopped the Black Friday sales! It was such a great evening surrounded by my favorite people.

This last Monday was my birthday! I'm so sad to be on my final year in my 20's! When did I get so old?!?! Anyways Jeff was going to be super busy with work ect on my birthday so we went out to dinner on Saturday night to celebrate! On Sunday I stayed after church to practice in the ward Christmas chior and came home to a house full of balloons and decorations! Later that evening we had pie and icecream! The boys (especially Ryker ) get so excited about birthdays! On Monday Jeff made me breakfast and my sweet visiting teachers stopped by to visit me and bring me flowers! After Jeff left for work around lunch time my bestie stopped by and brought me a present and later had us over for dinner! It was a great birthday!

FIVE years!

The fastest five years of my life! I can't believe we have been married for five years now!! We had our first kidless overnight date for our anniversary and it was perfect!!! We went downtown and got dinner and dessert.. Walked on the beach and slept at the hotel! We had breakfast on the balcony over looking the water and it was perfect!!

This year Ryker is obsessed with Star Wars.. So naturally he wanted to be Darth Vador! We decided as a family to all be Star Wars.. Landon was Yoda, Jeff was chewbacca and I was Princess Leia! On Friday morning Jeff dressed up as Gru for work and I took the boys over to the hospital to do trick or treating there! They love going to visit dad at work especially when they get a ton of candy! Later that night we had our ward trunk or treat. Saturday I decided to not get dressed up, especially with the storm that was blowing in and Landon wanted to be the elephant! We didn't trick or treat for too long before it got super windy and started to rain! But we have so much candy from all the "trick or treating" we did those 2 days we don't even know what to do with it all!

Pumpkin patch and train rides

On Saturday evening we headed to Alabama with our friends to take the kids to the pumpkin patch! They had so much to do there! 2 train rides, hay rides, petting zoo, pony rides, bounce houses and of coarse pumpkins! Ryker was so excited, he kept asking the whole way there "where are the pumpkins"?!

Last weekend was our first formal navy ball!! We had so much fun!

Landons first flight!

On Wednesday I flew, with the boys, alone to Las Vegas! We had to leave the house by 5:15 am to catch our 7am flight into Nashville. We had a 40 minute layover and then an almost 4 hour flight to Las Vegas! I knew Ryker would be well behaved for the most part but I was def worried about being stuck on an airplane for 4 hours with Landon on my lap! He stayed awake the whole first flight, which was only 50 minutes, but of coarse he fell asleep literally after we touched the ground! I had to wake him up to put him in his stroller and get his diaper changed in the bathroom before we boarded our next flight. Once we were on our next flight he cried for a few minutes and fought his nap for a little over an hour and then finally crashed for almost the rest of the flight! It went better than I expected but I'm still nervous about the flight home in a few weeks! Hopefully it will go just as smoothly!

The day after Jeff's family was here visiting one of my best friends, Rhonda, flew in to visit us for a few days as well! Her request was lots of beach time so that's what we did!! We stayed up late every night playing games as well and  I even dragged her to yoga class with me! 

And she got the boys these cute matching Jammies which they obviously didn't want their picture taken in them lol
