5 Months!

On Monday Ryker turned 5 months!! Seriously cant believe that next month he will be half of a year old.. really where does the time go?! Its CRAZY! He is a busy busy boy these days! Climbing out of his bouncers... somehow managing to get across the room without crawling...trying so so hard to crawl... grabbing everything...trying to sit up! He now starts to cry if he drops a toy he was playing with and wants it back.. he is such a little cutie though! He can roll both ways now! Yay!! Front to back and back to front! He LOVES lily! he LOVES playing with bigger kids! he LOVES animals! Yesterday we went to the Zoo for the first time with Tiffany and Embree and he had a blast! He loved the sea lions, elephants and polar bear! And he just loved being out and about!

Meats...

Ryker tolerates just about all of the baby foods....he loves squash apples sweet potatoes and green beans the best... but i CANNOT get him to like those stupid meat ones! and our dr told us science says to start them on meats first becuase they need the iron...but she said they are pretty foul so people usually dont and we could do whatever we want.. haha but he sure hates them! I try all of the baby foods i give him to see how they taste..and i do have to admit the meat ones taste like those cans of mini hot dogs you pack in your earthquake food kit in elementry school...nasty...i dont blame him! here's how reacts to any of the meat ones..

Spoons...

Ryker has found a new toy.. he loves his spoon! He always wants to hold it and he twirls it around like a baton! He is so funny! Jeff and I had the conversation last night that Ryker has no desire to be a baby, he really wants to be a big kid. He is trying so hard to feed himself with his bottle, he gets so frustrated when he is on his belly that he cant crawl, he tries so hard! He can figure out his legs he just hasnt figured out his arms yet, so he sits there and grunts and throws a tantrum! We are afraid we are in trouble with these grunting yelling tantrums he throws when he is frusterated! Last night we went out to dinner after i got off work and we laughed about how funny Ryker is, he just wants to be out of his carseat and watching everything around him! He is so conent peopl watching and socializing and flirting with any girl that will talk to him. He also gets so bored at home! He loves it when we take him out places, on walks ect, just out of the house! And his new favorite food,,, SQUASH! Apples and squash are his top 2 favs!

 

this video seriously cracks me up.. he does this everytime i put him in his bouncer and we just laugh when he really gets going... i have to start strapping him in though...one day i walked in from doing the dishes and he had kicked himself out and some how ended up on his knees and being face down in the seat of the chair! Crazy boy!

September!

Seriously cant believe it's already September!! We had a fabulous labor day with the family! Pool party of coarse at grandpas!! Sad its the last pool party until next year...but Ryker is going to enjoy them so much more when he is one next year!! So excited!! Some of the new things he is doing is reaching for EVERYTHING!! He reaches for Lily and grabs her all the time...reaches for our camera...phones..clothes hanging on the racks at stores...ect.. love seeing all these new developments!! He is just about sleeping through the night....he always goes to bed at 8 unless we are out and about...and he usually gets up at 6 to eat and then sometimes he will go back to sleep until 8am! Its still hit or miss...sometimes he is still waking up around 3 or 4 for a feeding...but we are getting there for sure!! We are also learning on learning to sit up on our own...and his FAVORITE food so far is apples! He can eat a whole jar in one sitting!! he loves them more than the peaches and sweet potatos he has tried so far!
