F-O-U-R years and pumpkin carving!

This weekend we celebrated our four year anniversary three days early! My aunt came over and watched the boys so we could go out to dinner and shop alone. It really is so nice to go out with Jeff and actually have some quiet time together!!! Sunday night we watched Hocus Pocus and carved our pumpkins. I may have scarred ryk a little bit.. He hates  to have his hands dirty.. Ever since he was little I was super anal about keeping his hands clean.. So if he gets anything on his hand he freaks! Guess who refused  to touch the inside of his pumpkin?! Ha ha I stuck his hand in his pumpkin and he started yelling "eww!! Dirty!!!" And insisted on getting them washed right away.. Which resulted in him losing interest in carving pumpkins the rest of the night! He does however love to look at them now that they are carved. Maybe next year?!?!

Medina Pumpkin Patch

Over the weekend we decided to drive about and hour and 15 minutes into the "country" to this little town that has a cute little pumpkin patch! I haven't heard of, or seen any cute little pumpkin patches around here like they have all over in Utah.. And a couple of people in our ward were talking about this one so we gave it a shot! The drive was beautiful!  And it is so nice to get out of the city for a bit... This cute little pumpkin patch was perfect for Ryk! They has little tractor rides, pig races (which was the cutest thing ever and ryk thought it was hilarious). They also had horses that he could brush, cows, goats, rabbits! It was the perfect little get a way and of coarse we bought our pumpkins to carve from there!

Camping at Canyon Lake

Jeff got a 3 day weekend for Columbus Day *yay* So we decided to go camping Saturday to Sunday with my aunt and cousin at canyon lake! Of coarse when we were heading out that morning it was pooring rain and thundering and lightening.. But it was forecasted to stop in 2 hours so we decided to go anyway! Luckily by the time we got to the campsite the rains had stopped and even brought in cooler weather! We set up camp and took a walk down to the lake...Later that evening we took the kids "fishing" and then roasted hot dogs and marshmallows. The boys were so good on their first camping trip... It was a little bit hard camping with a baby only because I had to get up and make bottles in the middle of the night in a tent.. But other than that we had a blast!

We made a trip back to the riverwalk... This time much earlier in the evening and without rain! We walked the mall... Grabbed some dinner.. And Jeff took ryk on the boat cruise! Ryker loved it!!

I There's something about this boys smile that literally gives me butterflies in my stomach! He just melts me when he smiles and babbles at me! 

And let's not talk about how cute he is in his bumbo 

2 Months

Our little Landy is 2 months now! Today we had his dr appointment and the joy of getting shots! It just breaks my heart seeing him so upset when he gets his shots that he looses his breath :( at least after just a minute or two of crying he's been back to his normal self! Today he weighed in at 10 pounds 14 ounces (29%) 22.83 Inches (44%) and head circumference was 41.2 cm (77%)! It's funny to see how different our two babies can really be! Ryk was a whole pound and whole inch longer than landon and Ryker has always had a "small" head and landon is the opposite! He's still in this awkward stage where he is literally swimming in his 0-3 month clothes but the newborns are too short for him! So I packed away his newborns and he's just having to deal with his 0-3 month clothes being too big for now! Plus it's always exciting when you move up to the next size and have a whole new wardrobe to play with! We sure love this sweet boy! 

He *hates* to be undressed because he is always cold! Not a happy camper right here! 

Post dr appointment.. I would say he's feeling just fine :)

Labor Day

We didn't do too much for the Labor Day holiday... Jeff had a big test to study for so we just spent a relaxing weekend at the house swimming and bbq-ing! We are hoping to take a trip to the beach at Corpus Chrisit in the next few weekends :)
