Tomorrow

At 11:10 pm tomorrow my sweet boy will have been on this earth for a whole year!!! I can't even believe it!! I can't wait to wake him up tomorrow with all of his birthday surprises and for a fun filled day!! I'm so in love with this stage he is at.. It just melts my heart!! He leans in and gives me a kiss if I ask him for one.. He gives every person he sees a big hug its the sweetest thing and last night he took his first steps.. For a ball of coarse! Today he's been working on his walking all day!! He takes anywhere from 5-10 steps at a time before sitting down and crawling its the cutest thing I've ever seen!!!

I forgot to post pictures of him playing with his favorite birthday present.. He's an athlete in training ha ha and I forgot to mention we went to the Jazz basketball game with our friends Katie and Benten on Friday it was super fun and we were in the 23rd row which made it even better!!

Party time!!

We had so much fun throwing Rykers first birthday party!! I'm so thankful for my aunt Susan's.. Making the cutest decorations and ideas and Rykers little Mickey cake!! She's the best! And I'm thankful for everyone that helped with all the food and I'm especially thankful to everyone that came and helped make Rykers special day so special!! We did a hot dog bar and burgers and we had chili, pasta salad, potato salad, chips, baked beans, fruit and veggie trays! So good!!! He really wasnt interested in opening presents at all.. I opened the majority of them but he loved all of his toys he got! We got him a basketball hoop and ball and he is obsessed with it!! Kandace and Joey got him some cute wood toys with a little hammer and he loves to carry that hammer with him everywhere! He got fun stuff for the pool this summer and he got a ton of 18 month clothes that we really needed!! So fun!! After gifts we did his cake and he was so careful to not make a mess... Eating little pieces at a time.. No cake smash!! So it was pretty easy to clean him off :) I can't believe he really turns one on Wednesday but we are so greatful to have him in our family!!

Rykers latest obsessions!

This little boy of mine loves loves to play with a ball! It's the sweetest thing ever he throws them around the house all day long! He's also started to point at everything and say "sat" meaning what's that ha ha I love it! He loves to point at pictures and have me tell him who everyone is! He also loves going on walks every evening and going down the slide and climbing back up it.. It's adorable! And he's obsessed with using his silverware to eat.. He's not too good at it but he loves to practice! Can't believe a year ago today was my due date! So crazy! 9 more days until the mr turns one!!!
