Our own Valentines Day

So yesterday Jeff and I properly celebrated our first valentines day being married! Jeff had school in the morning, so i cleaned the house so we could come home today to a clean house! When Jeff got home we had some lunch and then went to the mall...we were each going to buy a few new outfits but of coarse when i could buy something i couldnt find hardly anything i wanted! haha! figures! but i did get 2 new tops and jeff got a shirt and a pair of jeans! after we went shopping we ran home and said our goodbyes to Lily and grabbed our bags. We felt so guilty leaving Lily home alone overnight for the first time! So we headed downtown and checked into our hotel room at the Plaza, its right across from the temple and from our window we could see the Capitol and the Conference Center! We got ready for dinner and headed to Layton to eat at Corbins Grill! ohh it is sooooo delicious!! we got these italian spring roll/ dumbling things for an appetizer and they were amazing! Then i got a steak for dinner and jeff got a burger! Words cant describe how delicious it was! Its def. my favorite restraunt! We tried to save room for dessert, but after having the appetizer, salad, their amazing bread w3. garlic butter, and our entree we were soo full! So we left dinner and went back to the hotel and went hot tubbing! Wish i would have brought my camera down to the hot tub because you're starring straight at the temple while you sit in the hot tub! it was an amazing view!! After, we went up to our rooms..showered.. cuddled and watched criminal minds for 2 hours haha! We woke up the next day soo early..i cant sleep without lily now and we just wanted to get back to her as soon as possible! We were going to go out for breakfast but we just wanted her so we did the express checkout, speeded home and she was at the door wagging her tail full speed! (she can identify the sound our car makes when we lock it so she knows when we are going to be coming into the house..shes a smart cookie..) We were sooo happy to see her! I made us a big breakfast when we got home..so we had breakfast in bed w. our baby! haha! But it was def. the best valentines day ever!! Next time...we are going to a hotel where we can take dogs!! haha

Valentines Day 2011

So this year was our first Valentines day being married!! Unfortunately Jeff and I both had to work...I had to work at the salon from 9-6 and Jeff has school and had to work from 2:30-11..boo!! But while i was getting ready for work, Jeff got up and made me breakfast...eggie in a basket and bacon and an orange yum! When i got home from work, i walked into our apartment to find streamers, ballons, a dozen red roses, toy story 3, chocolates and my favorite...a homemade card from Jeff!! I made Jeff his own Valentines Day coupon book..so i left that out for him when i left that morning for work. When Jeff got home from work i had his valentines dinner waiting for him on the table..steak, mashed potatoes, ceasar salad and garlic cheese bread! This coming Thursday we will be going out for valentines day...we are staying in a hotel down town and then we are going out to eat at Corbins..its a steakhouse! so excited!! well here's some pictures from yesterday...

Date Nights = Temple Nights

I just love my husband! I love that he helps me keep our goal of going to the temple everyother week! The temple is something that is so near and dear to my heart, i just love it so much! You cant feel peace like that anywhere else in this world! To make things interesting we go to different temples! Its also been an awesome experience to do family names for my family! We also go out to dinner either before or after our trip to the temple...last night we went to the Jordan River Temple, followed by a yummy diiner at Olive Garden!! The perfect night!

Lily Goes to the Groomer...and Gets to Babysit!

Today was Lily's first time going to the doggie groomers!! She went to Doggie Doo's! It was soooo hard for me to leave her!! I wanted to cry when i dropped her off haha! But i went to pick her up at 2 and she was so shiny and soft and smelt soo good, and her nails were nice and trimmed! They said she was soo good and was such a sweetheart, but it made me sad when they told me they gave her a treat and she wouldnt even eat it, she was probably too worried that we abandoned her! Sad!! Then when we got home, we babysat Embree while Tiff worked at the salon 3-8! Lily got so jealous of me giving Embree attention! It was hilarious! Now we are making homemade oatmeal rasin cookies, and again, trying to work on my talk for Sunday! ha!

Eyelash Extensions, hair color, and lip gloss!

I am sooo happy!! Today my hubby let me get EYELASH extensions!! Im in love!! Finally i get long lashes and dont have to put mascara on anymore!! They are soo awesome! and Jeff loves them too!! I also got my roots redone thanks to the lovely Julianna! She does such an awesome job! After i got my lashes done, Jeff and i got lunch at firehouse subs. sooo good! Then we went to Sephora so i could get my favorite lipgloss!! Such a fun day! Then we went to the Red Bandana and got Lily healthy organic dog food! Now we are making Salsa croc-pot chicken for dinner and writing our talks for Sunday, that is, if i could stay off fb and my blog! ha! Yes, i am procrastinating!!

Happy Birthday Jeffie!!

So..yesterday was my husbands birthday!! He turned 26 ahh yeah!! I had to open at the salon that morning... i worked 9-2..and jeff had to go to school! Then i came home to find jeff taking a nap with Lily! I woke him up and we got ready and went to the mall. We got my ring cleaned and redipped, and looked at getting me a new wedding band that i could wear to work when i do hair. After that, we went shopping at nordstroms rack, and pier 1 imports. Then we went to dinner at Ruby River steakhouse. We had a shrimp cocktails and steaks for dinner. After, we went and looked at frames and more house decorations at micheals and ross. We came home to find some yummy cookies left on our front porch from a secret person haha. We played our favorite game sequence and watched movies the rest of the night.
