Lucky

I was lucky enough to have this Thursday off again with Jeff!! Our original plan was to take ryk swimming ALL day and then take him home to get a good long nap and then our friends Jon and Erin were going to watch him so we could go to the temple! But of coarse while we were getting ready after the pool and Ryk was napping.. I had a feeling to ask Jeff to check online to make sure the temple wasn't closed that day.. And to our disappointment it was closed since June 3 until this coming Monday for maintenance! And my zipper broke on my dress so I need to rent one until I buy a new one.. And draper and oquirrh mountain don't have clothing rentals.. So we decided to just go out to dinner that night with Jon and Erin and they are going to watch him NEXT Thursday when it's open and I happen to have that Thursday off as well! :) 

This might be the funnest pool we have been to yet! It's in Lindon.. Only $5/ adult!! They have this play water area and another kiddie pool as well! They gave a surf simulator thing as well as a lazy river and lap pool!

Weekend review!

On Saturday we both had to work.. But Saturday night I went to a girls night with the girls from work! Went to the mall and dinner and of coarse ryker loves hanging out with all the girls! ;) on Sunday we had to teach our new primary class.. We have the ten year olds and they are a little crazy! Crazier than my scouts were! Hopefully it was because they were excited about having new teachers but the boys were literally wrestling all through class and would not listen! Kill me now! At least we are planning on moving in October right?! :) Jeff made us steaks for dinner and then we went over to meet our adorable new nephew Josh! We love him already!

June!

We LoVe that summer is officially here! On Monday we went swimming at the pool with my friend Kenzie and her two boys Owen and Grant.. On Wednesday I took Ryk to the library for the first time.. He rented a few books and read them on the way home! I also rented him the DVD Baby Signing Time! He loves it and I REALLY want him to learn it so he can communicate what he needs with us! Then today Jeff and I both had the WHOLE day off together! I started my morning off by a trip to the gym... When I got home we went to the rec center pool for a few hours! Ryk couldn't get enough of the pool! He was so out of it by the time we left.. He slept like a rock for 3 hours when we got home!!! Later this evening we went and got dinner and shared a small red mango frozen yogurt.. Then finished our night off with a walk and some play time at the park!

Sunday!

We love Sundays!!! We got a calling today at church.. Jeff and I will be teaching the 10 year olds in primary together now! We are excited to finally have a calling! ;) we finished the day off by taking a nice long Sunday nap.. Chicken enchiladas and a fun family walk!

Life of a One Year Old!

Ryker is do much fun these days! And it's so fun to see how SMART he is!! He wants to do EVERYTHING we do! If I'm sweeping he wants to sweep.. If I'm vacuuming he insists on vacuuming.. If I'm cooking he wants to help! He even watched Jeff hang up his book shelves so now he goes around the house hammering the walls with his toothbrush or whatever he can get his hands on! It's so cute! And he sure is a big eater! He LOVES peas green beans and cooked carrots.. He will eat anything we give him! Sometimes for breakfast he will eat a scrambled egg and a bowl of oatmeal!!! When he sees a dog he points and days "duh" and then woofs after! It's so cute! And when he sees his ball or balloons he says "bah" and points! He seriously melts my heart! The other night we were at dinner and he saw me blowing on my food so he started to blow on his food I love it!!! Today Jeff brought him to my work and literally got butterflies  when I saw the car pull up because I was so anxious to see him!!! I love him so much!! 

On our date night the other day when Jeff was off at 6pm!!!

After being back at home at my mammas I decided I miss using the "cups" I grew up using.. So I bought some new "cups" for us!! And yes when I was growing up and friends would come over they would ask why they had to drink out of a jar! Ha! 

Enjoying this beautiful weather at the thanksgiving point deli and bakery.. Loving that oatmeal raisin cookie! 

While I was getting ready for work ryker fell back asleep in our bed.. These two look like twins whenever they sleep!!!

Memorial Day in Vegas

We decided to take a quick trip to Vegas for Memorial Day! We rode down on Saturday Morning with our friends Jon and Erin! When we got into Vegas we had some lunch then took Ryker to a splash pad park to play! After he played for a little bit we went to dinner at my favorite BBQ place called Lucille's! Jeff was so excited to try their signature ribs! After dinner we did a little shopping at the District then headed home for the night! On Sunday we went to the pool at the hotel where Jon and Erin were staying at and played in the pool for a few hours! That night we had a fun BBQ at my aunts house with all of the family! After we put Ryker to bed that night Jeff and I were able to go on a date to see The Great Gatsby! We haven't been to a movie in forever! We rarely ever have a babysitter and we don't really have family close to watch him for us so it was nice to leave him with my mom and go on a date with just us!
